hypo-vw - September 10th, 2011 at 09:54 AM

with the support & backing from Team WPVW , Cindy has decided to come drag racing with 'Billi' her 1965 model rat beetle

for those of you who dont know Cindy , she has been a team member of WPVW for the past 4 years . She raced at Warwick in 2009 in a blue 1973 L-bug powered by a 1776 type-1 engine and also in 2010 in a red 1960 Karmann Ghia powered by a 1776cc turbo type-1 engine

this year Cindy plans to run her much loved 'Billi' at Warwick with a new 2332ml turbo injected type-1 engine

hypo-vw - September 10th, 2011 at 10:02 AM

Billi gets 4-wheel disc brakes , a 2" narrowed front beam , drop spindles , a tandem brake master cylinder and all new brake hoses

hypo-vw - September 10th, 2011 at 10:09 AM

Billi is back on her wheels and the brakes / steering feel great .
Now the engine & transmission parts start to arrive . WPVW bores the new engine case for the 94mm barrels and the case is clearanced for the 84mm stoke crank

hi Chris , we are running a microtec LT-10s ecu which incorporates ignition / fuel management & map sensor for boost .
Love the progress on your bug mate , cant wait to see it run at Warwick

I can't wait to get there either, hopefully all the loose ends should be finalised next week, then onto the dyno.

Are you going to run an intake cooling system on this engine and what size turbo?

Man, I want this motor. I love it, well done guys and good luck with it Cindy you lucky girl

Wayne, since you got most of the gear from CB are you using one of their turbos. Also, do you know with the CB turbo exhaust system if it will bolt up with heater boxes or only J pipes.

Thanks and keep us updated, Kev :tu:
