Pic in Dragster Australia Magazine
HS618 - November 8th, 2011 at 11:47 AM

For those that may be interested, there is a (full page) pic of the yellow Beetle on the inside back page of the latest Dragster Australia magazine #843
The picture was taken during the recent Fuchs Nationals at Sydney Dragway
(It's not "the cover of the Rolling Stone" to quote an old rock band - Dr Hook, but it's OK nevertheless)

Bought it the other day Henry . Will get you to autograph next time I see you .
Great shot.

That's because there were no burnouts performed during eliminations due to excellent traction available. This allowed the tyres to turn but not spin off the line (the '60's were 1.57/ 1.58 for most of the weekend)
As you have said before, "if the clutch doesn't turn - the tyres have to"
Now, if I only had the internal fortitude to increase the start-line RPM!!!

That has got to be one of the best wheel stand shots I've seen and it just makes it nicer to see that its a VW. Awsome work H

Just got the Dragster Oz home today, so looked through it with my boy. Cool photo! My 3yr old just about had kittens, he said "Wow Dad, look at that one! Can I have one of them?".

He has good taste. You now have a fan.
