Who's up for a run before Christmas?
I'm going to try and crack 100mph in the 1915 (need 3mph more) before the turbo motor goes back in for Sydney.
Aarons going to try and run a 10 in the Kombi before it becomes a tow car for the notch (dyno result permitting).
I heard Dave Richardson might bring his buggy.
So dust them off for one final time. Anyone else keen to have a run for fun come along.
I'll be coming along for look!!!!
I'll be there... I reckon you'll crack the ton with that swankey new wing!
I'll come and shoot vid with my new camera's. got my cannon with full hd and my new go pro black edition will be here by then too with its roll bar
mount so will have some wicked footage.
As for my buggy, I won't be running it again until I have sorted the scatter shield and I've ordered some 27mm sway away tortion bars which will be
going in too.
Cheers Dave!
You're a ball bag! Run it anyway! Prep it on Wednesday and I'll be there by 5....
spewin this is a midweek event, otherwise id be there

Just got of the dyno after 12 runs. Went from 18psi to my new low boost setting of 23 then up to 27 but spun the tyres after 700hp every time, oh well
ill tune it at the track
The tyres were m/t street radial 235.
Cant wait till tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep....see you there
Few guys from the VWMA drag crew coming along to watch. Couple of MK1 Drivers cruising up as well. Should be good to see the Kombi run for the last time in anger before being put out to pasture.
Damn, my go pro did not arrive in time for this one but I'll still get some good footage on the canon
May come up for a look , week-end is best for us , more work yet to do to car
Well , what happen guys ? I was working hard out at the farm ( Rods) so I couldn't make it .
Aaron ran 11.04 I think @ 133mph??? And Andrew ran I think it was 13.4 @86mph.... Aaron had all sorts of troubles and I'm sure the guys will fill everyone in! Great night and good to catch up with everyone! Good work fellas!
13.4 at 95mph for Andrew
Aaron was an 11.06 at 131mph
Aaron was running his old street tune for that pass. Too much boost on 2nd pass .... 33psi
Top night with some good racing.
Didn't crack the 100mph even after bigger jets and new slicks (and new wing)
Best time for the night was 13.41 and best mph was 96.98 both of which are PBs for the 1915.
60fts and 1/8 times were all better. Runs are really consistant now.
Slicks surprised me. Didn't expect them to hook up as good as they did. Still need to drop a couple of psi.
Heres some vid of a me v Aaron....just let me say I beat him to 60ft
http://youtu.be/X2E-shrnAeY
Thanks to all those who came out and wathed and supported.
Here's a vid of Aaron on a solo just after he put his fuel pump belt back on after flicking it off.
Also shows him getting a bit loose.
http://youtu.be/5rqx2rOYp0k
And it looked even more loose from behind.
Need to skid those stickers off the slicks Stanley
Thanks to every one that helped out or just came for a look.
The run with Stanley was my street tune at around 18psi, the second was 18psi in 1st and went to 33.2psi in 2,3,4th it was only tuned for 27psi with
wheel spin on the dyno. The extra traction/ load raises boost, but didn't think it was going to rise that much.
The clutch needs a look at and there seems to be a massive ignition miss off boost, so I'll have to atend to these before I get to the track
again.
Thanks for the vids!! They show me lots that the logger doesn't.
Man all I want now is to feel the 20b get its boogie on again with +30psi

Hey everyone, I know I took my sweet ass time uploading this vid but better late then never. This is the first vid I've uploaded and of coarse had a
couple complications, YouTube decided it needed to distort some frames?? But the sound isn't too bad for the standard mic on the canon, anyway
enjoy...

for those without smart phones.
You can go into edit dave, and remove the anti shake option that makes it look bogus.
Ok will do
Cool vid Dave!! Thanks.
That was my PB, but it felt so lazy
That's some cool footage Dave.... Cheers for posting.
