In the Mojava Desert there is a driverless challenge put on by the US Defence Agency with a purce of $2 Million. The Touareg done 131 miles in 6hr, 53minutes, 8 seconds. The car was enterd by Stanford University and was a stock diesel R5, and was driven by a wire systerm developed by VW's electronics research laboratory.
