Ipod question

Hi

I have a head unit in my car with an Ipod socket. Does the Nano and the normal Ipod have the same connection on the base?

no worries,, they sure make CD stackers obsolete, it is all my son uses in his car

Hi

So far I've only played burnt MP3s CDs and original CDs in the unit, I only got the cable hocked up yesterday, what I've noticed is that the original CDs are much louder. Going to try my sons Ipod tonight

I have a 74 L bug that is my daily driver for 18 months until my son gets his licence, hopefully my other bug will be on the road by then, so I might buy a Nano for myself. My JVC head unit plays DVDs so I'm going to try burning some music to a DVD as this will hold as much music as some Nanos.

Steve, try setting up sound check in itunes to play back all the songs from the ipod at the same level.

I plug my mobile (Nokia N70 with 1gb of memory) into my headunit (Sony Xplode)
Really handy.. saves me buying an ipod or anything like that cause my phone works like one!
Only pain is having to unplug it whenever i leave the car :(

could i get an ipod cradle and not have a head unit? or does the ipod have to run through a head unit?
cheers

You can buy an amp that can be hidden under the seat or something that the ipod can plug straigt into. So yeah, no need for a head unit! But personally i like being able to listen to my old CDs.
Ha.. OLD cd's.. never thought i would say that!
