I'm guessing the post was deleted because you didn't have a price.

theres 8 post under this one & 5 of them dont have a price at all
seems to be very selective from this side of the computer no
matter how much its been justified, very selective!
M8 its got nothing to do with the law, just the forum rules.
However, the rules should be applied to all equally, fairly and consistently.
I know Andrew and the moderators are trying to get to the bottom of it to find out where the post went. I konw Andrew is having difficulty accessing info from the data logs, otherwise I'm sure he would have got back to you by now already.

I suppose you have a lot of imported stuff that changes price everytime you get it?
Like you say if you doubled prices, you could have a consistent price as the different import prices could be absorbed.
In my opinion, it would be nice to see some prices sometimes at least. For example if you got 100 Trumples and were able to sell them at $86 including
GST until that 100 Trumples were gone, then people would see that you have prices available to see when you can.
I have to admit you are quick with e-mail prices and availabilty and I thank you for it.
roy, you do go on a bit some times.
as said on your forum. you know the rules here and you blatently abuse them. you know your prices, and you willingly publicise them on your forum, so
it shouldnt be any less expected that you publicise them here, no different to anybody else.
Roy, there is no excuse why you were not notified why the post was deleted - no-one has owned up thus far and as Andrew has noted to you via email, we
cannot track it because the admin logs were cleared (and cannot determine by who yet). Any time I edit/delete/modify a post I always notify the
original poster who started the thread, or the person who's post I edited. It is generally agreed that moderators give notice to individuals if a
post has been edited/deleted - if this does not occur I understand why the poster (you in this instance) would be annoyed. I always notify of any such
moderating, and encourage all other mods to do so as well.
The concern is repeated posts of specific items for sale without a price listed (which is a rule of this forum, regardless of trade practice acts
etc). We try hard to maintain fair approach to all advertisers, but it is the repeated nature of the rule infringements that causes the angst amongst
members/moderators. Please U2U me any posts you feel are an infringment on the rules of this section - I know we are all adults and I don't wish to
resort to "dobbing" but with the turnover of posts esp in the buying/selling section it is impossible to read every post - I guess with previous
complaints against your posts by members, they may incur greater attention. I also don't want to be in the position of 'a teacher chastising members
like they are kids at school and told to stand in the 'naughty corner'. I understand you may disagree with the forum rules, but there is an
agreement to abide by them when participating here - the rules have developed from necessity due to past legal challenges and complaints so please
understand why we as moderators have to police such laws. It would be far easier for us to say "fu*k it, everyone do/say what you like" - but the
forum would not last long at all. Moderating is no-win situation as you will always upset someone.
So in summary, I apologise for the post being deleted before the warning (despite not performing the act myself). I support local VW businesses
(especially living on the same stretch of coast as you do!) - I hope CVWP does well and continues to provide good quality products at reasonable
prices. We are all in the hobby (business for some) for similar reasons - our love of Volkswagens. I hope this passion can bind the vw community and
get past these sorts of problems.
One final note since I'm already crapping on, regardless of what some may think, I can say I (as an invidual who just happens to be an AVD moderator)
support the kombiclub forum - I've tried to register tpday to contribute but didn't receive the activation email yet (may come tomorrow). I hate
getting tied up with political $hit - I just love driving and restoring veedubs, but I also try and put something back with my particpation on AVD
(and hopefully kombiclub forum).

Roy,
I would have thought with ALL the problems you seem to have you would
a) Save a copy
b) Take a chill pill :sandrine
Chill out dude, take your sweet bus for a spin, lay on the beach, whatever, just dont burst a vessel.
Kool karma to you
kkk
Roy,
First things first. I've just been through PHP Ad Mentor and your ad was displayed continuously. Since the beginning of your sponsorship began, the
following statistics have occurred:
Total impressions: 161775
Impressions with regular(NonHTML) banners: 161775
Total clicks: 946
On ninemsn, the same value of clicks (946) would cost you $756.80, and you would not have received anywhere near the same level of VW enthusiast
interest. On Google, the same cost would be $2000 or more if you want to be competitive on AdWord CPC bidding. In contrast, we provide excellent value
for money for a highly targeted audience.
Now, on to the other items. I've asked the staff on more than one occasion to always U2U people when they delete a post, even for repeat offenders
like yourself. We have explicit rules in the buying and selling areas which help our members choose the best bargains without having to stuff around
looking for prices or ringing people. We are exactly like Amazon, Trading Post and eBay - there's *always* a price on those sites. However, unlike
Amazon, Trading Post and eBay, we don't get paid for listings and we don't take a cut of the action. So we live on sponsorships and we do our best
to help them out. Generally, this works well. However, our sponsorships don't really cover our hosting expenses, and this situation has just got
worse as we moved to our own server, so effectively Brad is paying for this site out of the goodness of his heart (+ a few ads).
I am about the only person with access to the advertising solution. I don't go in there to make difficulties for myself, and I do not delete posts
willy nilly for the same reason. Some of your posts are deleted because they do not match the rules, but at least part of the time, it has to be error
between keyboard and computer.
If you have other queries, please e-mail me, Jim or Brad privately. This thread is closed.
Andrew
