Drove a MkV GTI on Monday. Had all options. DSG box was amazing. I am a huge fan of manuals at the same time as hating autos, and I would be happy

268 cam is a camshaft with a longer duration than the stocky. Boosts top end power a bit...

it's a shame when finally we get such a great car in australia we can't get enough..can't understand VW germany's logic that to increase gti numbers they also need to increase the number of other models which dont sell as well...sure we will take 1000 gti's but your getting a 1000 passats with that!!!!!! they think the importer[be it vw factory here] will try harder to sell the less desired models..figure this out ...sure as hell I cant! cheers steve
Hmmm, I must disagree with you on VW's failure to supply. We get all our GTI's from South Africa this time (unfortunately), but it is only because
the car is so damn popular that we cant get enough. VW Australia, through negotiations with VW Germany secured an order for 13 per week from SA.
Unfortunately, orders are coming thick and fast at up to 60 per week. Even if VWA wanted to up the order, the amount being made that are available for
Aus are too few. Demand is way outstripping supply. This is why we wont see 3 door GTI's in Australia. If we did, they would come from Germany, and
they are way behind on supply to UK atm with RHD cars to be able to spare any 3 doors. I want 3 doors....
