Die Bulli Familie - July 27th, 2006 at 09:35 PM

I'm emigratring to Western AUstralia in the next few months and selling my two T25/T3 campers. I really want to buy another van/camper when I get there. How common are the t25/t3 vans? Whats the spares availability like?

you can get them out here , normal parts are available , but if you want to lower or do some mods bring the springs etc with you,:)

One of mine is lowered and it's forever causing problems I would be happy with the standard ride height.

What are the standard engine configurations? I assume the scooby engine conversion is the current favourite conversion?

yep ,most have standard vw engines and there is some with scubi motors, mine is aircooled

I assume you know these vans as T3 and not T25.

Where's the best place to find vans for sale? Over the past week I've only come across a handful of vans for sale and none in Western Australia.

T3 Vans are around,
There is currently 2 T3's 4 sale in Nowra where I live, (east coast) a '88 Traker Camper with 2.1 engine and auto trans for $10,000, and a '89 home made semi camper with a 2.1 and a 5 speed manual for around $6000. both are in good condition.

Ebay is another place to look, they come up quiet offen.

check carsales.com

transporting them from the eastern side is possible if none in Perth should be more in Adelaide.

Why would you say that?,
No more than any other VW engine. A T3 engine if looked after and serviced correctly is good for well over 300,000 km's
