Hey people newbie chasing the dream,What are the restriction of fitting a golf motor to my T3? Can it be done with little fuss or is it a job?

do it and let us know!
wasnt there a syncro for sale with something like that in about a year or so back
shouldn't be too hard.
a friend has a VR6 engine in his T3.
an R32 is essentially the same but with a turbo.
isn't the R32 the golf variant with the 3.2 litre n/a v6, as also found in various other vw's, audi's, seat's and skoda's etc... (roughly 170-180
kw and 320 nm)
if this is the engine you're thinking of syncro then i'd suspect you'd better start saving now....can't imagine they'd be too cheap
p.s. vwtyp2 did you do the ej20t conversion into your T3 yourself? and if so, do you think what some workshops are charging for drive in/drive out
packages are reasonable?
yep the R32 V6 is n/a and 3.2L
they go very hard
youd be looking at atleast 10k for a wrecked r32 with drivetrain. you would have to import it actually, as there was only 200 r32s delivered to australia (unless you can find a wrecked one here..?). i doubt you would get much change from 20k at the end of it all. would be one crazy car at the thou! i think you'd be better off going with a vr6, like vwtyp2s mate.
Sorry people i have been a little busy of late, how slack of me, i have recently picked up two T3's for under 2200, sick, 1 runs and is sweet, oversize piston/ring kit, the bloke who owned it before cooked it midly at a set of lights. It is a 89 mod Transporter and the second of the latest is an 85 caravelle with all the mods for stripping down. Using it to fix my own 89 mod caravelle Gl, manual not automatic. Will get back to you on the r32 project more immediate projects on the burner.
