I don't know of any one place that regularly wrecks them...think you just have to keep your eye out and be patient.

What R&P does it have? do the 4 speeds have a 4.1 ratio? I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these or the 3.8 to convert to my 5 speed manual when doing the subaru conversion.

p.s. what R&P does the 3 speed auto have?

what i would like to know is there a 4 spd auto that will fit the t3 diff ? or is there any way to improve the auto top gear ?

Why do you need a new box, just rebuilt that one. The way you describe it, it sounds like the piston seals are getting hard, once it heats up the seals soften and top engages properly.
