A Canadian needs your help.

Here is the deal. I am from Canada. Whistler Canada to be precise. I have a 2003 Jetta witch to you is a Bora if I'm not mistaken. Really I'm just looking for a couple answers. Number one is your MK4 Bora available in a 1.8t 4Motion? The reason I ask is because over here the Jetta/Bora is not available in 4motion and I'm going to attempt the conversion. However finding info here about it is hard so I thought I'd ask the guys who have the bloody car. From what I understand so far from my own research is that only the newer Passat has a 1.8t 4motion. And the Bora is a VR6 4Motion. If this is the case maybe I can use the Passat Tranny and use the Bora suspension and figure out a way to connect them together. If anyone has a web resource I can go to please advise and it would also help if I had pictures of the underneath of one of your 4motion Bora's so I can see what I'm getting myself into. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Oh and is there any other VW Forums in Auz maybe more water cooled oriented?

Hi,
Nice plan but it sounds expensive.

Eh there.!

The Bora was only available in Aus with the vr6 that had the 4-Motion.

And unless I'm very much mistaken, the Passat turbo only came with FWD, and, 4Motion only with the V6 also.

By the way my old man is in Edmonton.

Cheers

http://www.volkswagen.com.au  or failing that http://www.immi.gov.au  - a lot bloody warmer downunder...and about as far away from George Bush as you can reasonably get.
