I know they are rare beasties but I'm looking for one or the other, preferably a camper but whatever comes up at the right price.
I'm in Melbourne.
Post on here or shoot me an email.

theres been a couple on flea-bay recently one with a dodgy gearbox didn't reach its reserve (t3 t25)
the t3 t25 model is by far the best for 4x4ing, its got lots of ground clearance (more that a rangey or toyota) and the springs are stiffer than the
t4.
theres one t3 t25 here in perth for $9000, i'm told its abit rough.
cheers jon
Thanks Jon, heard there were a few T3 syncros out Perth way. I saw the one on ebay that reached 5k (NSW dark red with a few dents?).
I'm not is a rush so i'll see what turns up!
Hey Gary do the smart thing and buy a running one.
Between work and kids there isnt much time left for the singular project in the driveway, and just when u think u have all the parts, wait. Crikey
it's a long journey.
There is one on the AussieT3Syncro site on yahoo great condition and owned by another fanatic Syncro owner. All the works been done but a little
pricey for my likings. Otherwise import one straight from Busman, might be a cheaper option and then u get what u want..:thumb
Dont go down the road of a T4 off road ability is sucky to say the least nil ground clearence makes it similiar to the tarago OOOOHhhhShudder.
Try hitting up old mate, old link from ebay.

I know what you mean about getting a runner, that was my plan! Had a look for Busman but if the Belgian site was the one you meant there were some
interesting vehicles but all left hand drive.
Haven't found much info about T4 syncros but I like the idea of a slightly more modern vehicle - sacrilege I know as i realise the T3 is such an
amazing beast. Off roading would be fairly minimal I imagine.
Cheers
Gary
America is always an option, and britan/UK has right hand drives.
Even Busman gets the odd RHD T3. If it is only a "soft roader" U are after than look at a T4/T5 but expect to spend more money for a vehicle that is
less desirable than the T3. One bloke on SyncroYahoo chat site has a new T5 4Motion(syncro) all the bells and whistles, blah blah, 87+ thousand holy
mackacki, and in his opinion he much prefers his olderT3, thats one nice T3 for 40 plus change. You can buy a toureg for about 40ish.
I wish u luck,
Just learnt that Gbox/Diff oil is going to cost me 240bucks for 8ltrs(front&back6Ltrs). Crikey otherwise making progress all be it slower than i like
but hey i found me one and it is a nice one.
I've seen a few swb syncro T4 vans for around the 15k mark which i thought was ok as a T3 is likely to be that sort of price. Stick some bigger tyres
on and raise the ride height and it could be a good vehicle. I could then build a camper interior.
I'm from the UK so i'd be a bit worried about rust, they still put salt on the roads in winter. Busman has some interesting trucks though, even a
tristar.
I saw the guy with the T5 Allmotion selling his T3 on Yahoo. I assume he sold it though as the ad has gone. Shame, he was just round the corner from
me!
That gearbox oil must be something special, hope you don't have any leaks, be about 5 bucks a drip!
Cheers
Gary
Yep expensive shit.
Full synthetic. You will find out when it comes times to service the box oil.
Salt on the road, i still dont believe it, I know why but really in this day and age, Not a bad plan large wheels heavy duty springs, yes it's
possible.
Just dont go too big in the rubber or you may have ratio problems. I really dont know about the limitations of a T4.
MMMMMMM Tristar
Hi all
Anyone know this Syncro. A UK import i believe where they have a 1600cc turbo diesel? Should I be getting on a plane for a look?

There may be one here in Nowra for sale soon, it's an ex telecom van, '90 model, bit rough in the body but good mechanically, no strange noises.
Will be on Ebay soon.
