Why so cheap man? Even with the bad... it still gooooood. Is there much rust underneath?
no rust a really great car and a very good base , was going to use it for hill climbs but other things need my attention
If i wasn't about to hook into my T3 money pit and start a new job, i'd definitely grab it, lucky bugger whoever does.
Nice looking Golf. Strangely MK1s don't attract very high prices, especially 4 doors for some reason. A bit odd as they're cool cars and there's
not too many of them in good condition left. (I probably paid too much for mine - much more than your asking price - but it is clean, original, low
mileage.)
You could also try your luck over at http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/. There's
plenty of MK1 admirers over there.
Good luck with the sale.
thanks for the link i will give them a go before i dump it on ebay
Do you think much work would need to be done to get a roadworthy certificate?
Also do you think the condition/reliability would be good enough to drive up to Brisbane?
for full rego i dfont think there would be much as the little bugger was given a good going over for club rego it still has to be safe and as for brissy no problems
OK I am very interested, I will just have to discuss it more with my partner. If I got the go-ahead, I could possibly fly down Wednesday morning to pickup (is the Ekka show holiday in Brisbane)...does something like that work for you? I will probably give you a call tomorrow to discuss more.
yep sounds ok but do call so i can give4 you a full description you can drtive it back on the club plates and hand them in at home the insurance will
be your problem the golf has third party insurance but not comprehensive in my name
i can see no problems with the drive back to qld. i drove from the south coast when i picked it up

Unfortunately my partner put the brakes on my idea. Since the car is meant to a runabout car for her, she's decided to save for a later model car as she's worried it may become another project car (I've 2 already!). Sorry for the runaround and good luck with the sale (that is phenomenal value for a clean mk1).
thats ok i'm married 2 i suppose someone with an adult attatude can saves us dreamers ffrom ourself
Just wanted to say that I have purchased this car and found the seller to be helpful and honest!
And wanted to say that hoping to have her back on full registration by the end of the week!
