T4 transporter rubbers?
77dual - October 21st, 2010 at 06:13 PM

Hey, just bought a new T4 and it needs a new rubber to go around the back doors. Is there anything available aftermarket? Genuine is going to cost me $211  I can get one from the UK for around $160 with postage but I'd rather go local.

Any help greatly appreciated :)

cheers, Scotty

Do you mean Type 4
or T4 Transporter

Probably should have been more specific :) it's an '02 Transporter.

$211 for genuine sounds perfect. Why would you try aftermarket (if there is any available ???) you know genuine vw will fit perfectly, last longest.......

Because they cost about $10 to make, $211 seems quite a markup!
I must admit though that I haven't bought any for a few years.
Not sure I can do without that 1 and a half cartons

?? so you're saying you can make them for a tenna? n that its quite a mark up... hmmm wtf
i suppose with said logic that with the left over rubber you will have, you can make up a set of tyres for your ride too..
you'll be saving so much, you'll be making money..
lucky for some
