i just brought my very first car yesterday
a bright red 1973 volkswagon 1600 super bug L by the name of "ruby"
after the kaiser chiefs song
shes a bit beat up but im hoping to get her snazzy soon
first in line is new seatbelts, steering wheel and dash
does anyone know how much money ill have to cough up for that?

"Klippan" inertia reel seat belts are about $110 each. Lap/sash (non-inertia) are about the same price or a little cheaper. Available from the usual
auto stores, including Bursons Auto Parts, for example.
It looks like an aftermarket steering wheel might suit your bug; one example is SAAS, which are around $125, you'll also need a 'boss kit' to fit
it, around $60. There are also cheaper wheels available ($50 up) and much more expensive ones. Some links:

The usual auto parts and accessory stores normally stock some steering wheels.
The dash depends on what you want or need to do.
