I was just curious about the legality of my P-Plate on the back. I wanted to avoid putting a P-Plate bracket on and scratching my new paint so it is hanging off the back tow hook on the bumper bar bracket. It just popped into my head that there might be some law about having to have it under your number plate light or something. It does get some light but the cops in my area are bastards and hate P-Platers so if there is like some law that anyone knows of it would be much appreciated so i can work around of. This is the only picture i have as it was only a recent thing (it is the little white flappy thing on the right. Sorry for the bad quality
why not make a bracket that comes off your bumper mounts that you can mount the p-plate holder off ,and have it just above your bumper off to the right of your decklid under your tail light
You can get plastic P plate holders that bolt to Your number plates...
Easy to fit if You use spacers between the number plates and the body...
I always use number plate spacers under the number plates so I can push a chamois up there if its wet...
the spacers can be a heap of flat washers, or spacers made from bits of round plastic or rubber hose like vacuum or fuel hose..
You could also cable tie them to Your bumpers...

PS: whether they need to be in a certain place.??
I don't think so??
I just remembered back when My Sons were on P plates
being pulled up all the time...
to be asked where they were going etc???
a friend of mine mentioned that His son never used P plates and was never pulled over...
but if He had been pulled over with no P plates ??
well...
The local highway patrols used to book motorcycle riders all the time, for having an obscured P plate.... ??
You could see it.. but not ALL of it...!!

get the ones that go in the window... they have like little holes in them, and stick to the glass. they are semi see through as well. don't put magnetic ones on the paint, they scratch.
in NSW you are not allowed to display them in the windows
yea my ex got booked twice in a week for the window P plates
wouldnt be hard to find a way to mount one of those frames to the bumper
oh yeah i feel you should pay royalties to the owner of that pic
heres a closer one

Yeah thats a good idea i might chop up the metal plate bracket i have. It used to rattle on the engine lid which didnt matter with the old paint but i
didn't put it on with the new. I planned to make some bracket up off the bumper bracket then the resto was down to the wire for sawtell and i looked
down and there was the handy tow hook. Unless this is illegal i might just leave it there. It will never blow off and it is easy to change for when
dad borrows it
P.S. sorry for not referencing your fantastic photography joel
i got pulled up for driven over a round a bout. blamed it on miles per hour speedo and poor lights. but my number plate is on my bumper and p plate next to it and the cop didnt say anythin bout movin either under the light
ah k i should be right then
that's a pic out of the old scone gobblers car not Joel's
