S/F Heads & 48mm Webber kit
RodPenrose - December 9th, 2012 at 05:14 PM

I have a reco set of ported Superflow heads that have 44mm x 37.5mm stainless valves and K 800 chevy springs . These are bored for a 94mm cylinder and have valve covers and match ported IDA intake manifolds . The manifolds have nitrous ports if required . I have a brand new set of 48mm IDA carbs and a CB hex bar linkage to complete the deal . The chambers measure 40 cc and are a complete bolt on deal . I would like to get $ 1100 for the heads and $ 1250 for the carbs and linkage . I would do a package deal for $ 2200 for the lot . These are located in Wollongong NSW and can be shipped anywhere , ROD , 02-42729920 .

Would you be able to run these on the street? I know they are not for a everyday driver, but limited use. I would prob run a comp ratio of between 9 and 10:1

I used to run a set of the older ARPM Superflows with no fins on my 1916 (then onto a 2165) daily driver that I rev'd to redline whenever I drove it.
I never had a problem with oil temprature around the streets and highway driving, but I ran a bigger type 4 cooler in the doghouse.
I have heard the superflows heads run a little hotter but I used to rebuild motors every few years to change combos, so I cant realy comment on longevity.
I bought the Berg adapters to run stock rocker covers as my ARPM covers used to come loose all the time and it made it cheaper to replace the rocker cover gaskets and a hell of a lot easier to do the valves.

I was thinking along the lines of a 2054, with that small of chamber I would have to run spacers to get the compression down. and prob run a fk8 or fk89 cam.
