Hi All,
I'm after 4 bumper over riders to suit a late type 3 squareback, so the larger bumpers.
Does anyone know if another model has the same over riders or are these specific to type 3 bumpers.
Would like them in good condition or new. Let me know if you have some or know the whereabouts of some.
Thanks heaps,
Brendan

hi brendan if are talking the late square bumper then yes they type three only beetle sq bumpers are slighlty smaller but have herad of people grinding them out to suit then re chroming thats if your talking aussie o/riders[ short stubbie ones] us ones[they look taller on the bar] you will pick up from time to time on ebay there are different after market ones around just gotta keep looking and asking happy hunting its half the fun
you talkin the big ones like i run
yes mate, they look sweat, i need some for front & rear. Any ideas where i can grab some??
cheers
mate they always come up on the samba .
Yes rare as in Australia
You could use beetle ones and carefully.. grind them to fit..
touch up the bare metal with anti rust paint and use plastic channel on them , where they go on the bumpers...
they are supposed to have the channel between the edges of the over riders and the bumper.. to stop any movement which will cause them to mark and
rust..
old beetles all used the plastic channel on the bumpers etc..
and special plastic gaskets
there are many different shapes of over riders and beware of the types common in the USA which also has the cutout for the big thick rubber strip as
used on late model USA beetle bumpers .. [instead of the black tape on Our cars]

You can buy em new from cip1.com
