DylanTheDubber - March 11th, 2013 at 06:43 AM

So my $150 engine that i put in to get me thru rego got me thru rego and few months of driving is now in need of a full rebuild or replacment motor.

in a tough situation and need to get the bug back on it's feet asap!

I Don't Have $4800 to buy a new long block as i have seen some engine builders have for sale but all up i could have say up to half of that for a second hand motor or something.

Gday, ive got a big block 1300 single port for sale. Previous buyer did a no show. Its out of a 65. I believe its a 1379? Goes well with no smoke. Good power for a little motor. Its complete with extractors. Idles bit rough. Maybe tune needed. 6 volt flywheel. Converted to 12v. Looking for 500. Pulled out 3 months ago as replaced with 2332.

Swing axle gearbox out of my 62 has gotta go too. Doesnt jump gears. Slight rough syncro on second gear looking for 250. Bolt in and go.

Being a sceptic I would have to ask why the cylinder covers are off and how long had it run like that, perhaps the reason for selling it is that it is cooked and you don't need that.
