WTD brisbane: trolley jack
1916baja - July 8th, 2013 at 08:06 PM

Righto, my drag cars up on stands and my dodgy little trolley jack I've had for about 10 years has finally shit itself! I plan on getting it down off the stands so I can fix a fuel leak on the type 3 by the weekend! Good timing trolley jack! Anyway I'm after a half decent one, ie not one of the tiny little Kmart specials I've been using. Anything around brisbane.

Cheers

Just come over and borrow mine. Its huge, it will jack up the side of your house, no worries.
You would have seen it Saturday night, it was under the back of the rusted piece of shit.

Yeah I saw it there, I might have to yet... I'll need one eventually... If I can get one cheap enough I'll buy it but I don't have alot I cash to throw around at this stage in the build! I'm hoping someone might have a second hand one to sell. Cheers man, I'll give you a buzz if I need it.

Mick,

I am just at camp hill if you need to borrow one

I bought mine from a place at archerfield airstrip but have seen them at trade tools - has that one pump to the car function which is very handy.

Cheers Peter.

mick (mr muppet) is literally about 2min drive from me, 30 sec if you don't get any traffic or lights! I'll grab his if I need to borrow one. You can pick them up reasonably cheap ATM but I'm looking for used as I've other things I could spend money on!

I had one (still have it) that one day just stopped working, checked the fluid level and couldn't see any so filled it with plain old engine oil, that got it working and still does 5 years latter. May be worth a try.

Mine has leaked out all over the floor!

I've been using a Super Cheap one for years. They're small and can fit in the car to take away.

Volksies don't weigh much so they're ok....as long as you use a stand if you need to get under the car.

Probably similar to the one I have now, little $50 job with the little valve you turn to let it down?
