WTB - Front middle 'dickie' seat for Early Bay Kombi
jb4845 - November 28th, 2013 at 08:08 AM

Probably chasing the proverbial 'rocking horse poo' but I am after a front middle or Dickie seat for my 1969 Bay Kombi.

If there is not one for sale then at least one that i can borrow to fabricate my own up (if possible) would be great.

I would need these to be complete with all brackets and fittings.

Please PM me if you have one or know of the location of one.

Thanks, JB

Just noticed where you are from- been working in Newcastle this week. On my way back to Adelaide ATM Might be back there soon. If I find it could probably bring it with me

Funny coincidence - 2 nice places to be or live.

If you do find it let me know and we can try to work something out.

Only thing is if you make one yourself, even if its a direct copy of the original, you would find it would need engineering and approvals to be able to use it. Otherwise you could just chuck a milk crate in the space and sit on that. Replacement rock and roll beds for kombis need to be ADR approved for use, any vehicle seating does.

Thanks, I was aware of the Engineering requirement - I have a few other things that need sorting too so that does not concern me.

Milk crate would not cut it for paying passengers - I use my Van for Weddings and am looking for that little extra seating capacity.
