I have decided to sell the engine and gearbox from my '69 Beetle.
It is a 2386cc 86 x 94 CB high roof, thick deck alloy case, 86mm E4340 chrommolly forged crankshaft with new AA 200mm flywheel,
5.6 CB H beam rods with 3/4 ARPM rod bolts,
30mm fill flow oil pump with Berg relief pump cover,
Engle FK87 cam, Scat lifters,
A/C net heavy duty aluminium push rods,
Jaycee push rod tubes,
CB 1.4 ratio rockers,
Mahle 94mm piston and barrels,
CB CNC Oval port heads with 42 x 37.5 valves,
comp is 9.2 to 1, heads have 63cc chambers with 1.25mm deck.
Engine is running 45 DRLA dellorto carbs on CNC straight IDF manifolds with a CB cross bar linkage and air cleaners,
ignition is a Pertronix billet dizzy, MSD wires.
Engine comes with tinware, generator, stainless steel merged exhaust with stinger,
stage 3 Kennedy clutch,
2 x Jaycee alloy pulleys, a stock size and a power pulley for racing.
Engine has run twice at Eastern creek, once at Warwick and has been driven less than 200 K's on the street.
Gearbox is a fresh Shimo built swinger, with HD fully polished Berg axles and early narrow axle tubes, it has a 4.125 ring and pinion, Kombi course
cut 1st and 2nd gear and close ratio 3rd and 4th, alloy spool, heavy duty steel side cover, all new syncros, new pinion bearing, gearbox is 2 race
meets old.
This combo ran 13.1 @100mph at Eastern Creek in Febuary.
