WTB: RH Cable operated footwell vent '69 Bug.
oldskoolguy - August 10th, 2014 at 07:28 PM

I would like to buy a cable operated, right hand side footwell vent replace the damaged one on our '69 Beetle.
The picture shows the one in at the moment, the melting damage is not fully visible, but this shows the looped cable attachment to the flap to identify the type of vent I need. I don't need the cable, but will buy a complete assembly if you prefer not to separate.

I'm not fussy if scratched or scruffy, as long as it is complete and functioning.
Thanks, Rob.

They would have to be a rare part..

they weren't on 68 beetles and not on 70 beetles... lol

but then I have seen a couple or 69s [with those cables] that were in rusted out beetles that were pulled apart , but the cables were probably still in the cars..??

Lucky..

I probably only need the plastic bit, as long as it's not too brittle.

After speaking to a few people I have found out it is a fairly specific feature for different markets and climates. Which is going to make it fun and a PITA to find at the same time :)

All sorted.
Many thanks to Old Dubber for sorting this out for me, and anybody else who at least had a gander through their spares bin.
Cheers, Rob.
