Wanted: Pedal assembly bracket
Trendy - August 24th, 2014 at 02:15 PM

I am missing a component of my brake assembly: Specifically the item in the picture. But in words its the bracket and bolt that reinforces the pedal tube that goes into the tunnel. And is this piece critical to have. Where does one buys parts and if not who would like to sell me a few parts for my 60 bug.

So before I go ratting through my box of "STUFF", is it the piece on the end far left or the piece that looks a bit like a plate with a "U" shape cut out?

A piece closest to your left foot on the clutch. It must hold the assembly in place before it goes into tunnel.... which would go all the way to the passenger side. There is also a bracket to hold it all together on the passenger side. I have that side. Please refer to picture again. Circle red.

What year is your beetle?

Unless it's a 67, your pictures are for later pedal assembly and from memory, the highlighted piece is not used on the earlier models. It will just have a rubber seal there that has 2 lugs that pop into the tunnel

I will check today

Daimo is right ,these weren't used on early bugs just a dust/noise sealing rubber.
