Has the battery been regularly charged to stop the plates turning to slag?

What's it's current voltage reading?

Really sorry for the slow reply. For some reason AVD didn't send me an email.
Battery was only taken out of the car 6 months ago, and has been charged a couple of times since.
Current voltage reading i will get today for you...

Hmm, tricky. Without knowing how well it's holding charge it's hard to say what it's worth. Reason being that even a new battery sitting around unused can deteriate quite quickly and the plates start to turn to slag and buckle. This makes it less efficient at holding charge or can even mean it won't charge.
If you were closer I'd pop over to have a look but I'm in NW Brissy so only worth the journey if it was in good condition.
