Hey guys!
just curious, how much do original reconditioned dellorto and weber carburettors go for here in Australia? what have people been asking for them?
Thanks in advance!
Do you want to buy or sell?
I sold my original Weber 45 for $250 on eBay, it lasted all of 30 minutes before being snapped up.
It had done about six hours work on the car and sat in the box for ten years in the garage.
Sold my dellortos for $700
well i just purchased a pair of totally reconditioned original 36mm dellortos for $800 including shipping. Good deal? i couldn't find any good original 36mm dellortos here in Australia.

A set 45 DRLA's on eBay for $1500 been listed for about 12 months, you would think the seller would have worked out by now there over priced.
Lets talk 36's and 40's as they are common
Have a look on the link below.
He does excellent work and will put the right jets and vents in
http://stores.ebay.com.au/ALFA1750S-CARBURETORS-PARTS-STORE
A refurbished set of carbs can still cost another $200 if they have the wrong gear inside
Alfa1750 is at near $900 for DRLA40's and $700 for Webers
Dells cost more than Webers by about 20% and 40's are about 20% more than 36's
What you paid is right as long as they have the right vents and jets inside
Ok thats good! yeh they set it all up for my 1641. They asked what motor i am running and they set up the jets accordingly. Obviously it will need tuning when i get it all running, but at least it won't be too far off! They did a beautiful job on the recon, absolutely immaculate!
I got some really nice and cheap dells from eBay Europe but the final cost was still near $700 when you add, manifolds, filters, trumpets, jets, gaskets etc. so it can likely seem to vary a lot depending on wether they are complete and ready to roll or not?
