1965 beetle gutter cuts (free!!!!!)
roofchop - November 14th, 2014 at 06:17 AM

I have a whole roof minus the bit that keeps you dry.

The whole lot had been previously blasted and etch primed, then left outdoors.

The gutters are solid no holes etc, but patchy as etch primer and outdoors are not compatible!

1:40 south of Brissy CBD for pickup, or I can cut what you want and post anywhere at cost.

Let me know asap what you want or they go to China to make Great Walls or Washing machines or ships or something metal and Chineese!

(Did you know that China is the biggest importer of scrap metal in the world!...)

Cheers
Dave

Sorry Dave but I think they'd reject the steel.

German steel is just too high quality for Great Walls:smilegrin:

Hmm.....could be right, I will hold on until someone is in need!

Who the f*** buys Great walls anyway?

(I think they are based on old Japaneese disigned 4x4's, Like driving a shiny 25 year old Isuzu, nice!)

Do you have a pic?
I want to buy a beetle and do a chop in the future and will need a roof. This is getting ahead of myself, but hey.
Cheers, Greig

Hi Dave, do still have this? I need a section of the gutter above the driver's door. I'd be interested in pics as well. Happy to email you to get this.

Thanks,
Jason

Good to meet you the other day Dave, cheers for the sections will definitely be useful. Had a quick look at the panel/resto shop you told me about, when I get a chance will go and have a chat with them. Made it to Murwillumbah this morning to check out the show just as the storm started:mad:, been my luck with every car show I've tried to attend on the east coast!!! Will drop by and say g'day again after our move.
Dave

Yo Dave, found a bay being wrecked just near the panel shop...rear inner arches look good, should be cheap! I can probably get them to gas axe the bits you need out!

Sounds good, see how much they want. Beetle passed its blue slip so back on the road again. Kombi not so happy, my 2 spare heads are cracked as well so it will be a while before it sees bitumen again. Means I mind as well get the rust and paint sorted properly now there is no rush
