Hi all, bought a bug with a 1600cc in it, but with the pict 28 carburettor. Does anyone have anything more suitable around?
Thanks

Ended up grabbing one of these. Anyone had experience with one before? The price seemed right

Whilst an American dealer that would be a Chinese carby
Pot luck at best.
Porous castings, cracks, blocked gallies, stripped threads - the list of whoes go on.
Better off getting an old Original German cab and spending the $$$ and getting it rebuilt

I bought from the USA a few years ago a BROSOL carburetor which was made in Brasil . it looks great. It was designed to replace a few different
carburetors and comes with an adaptor to fit twin port engines.
I tried for a few months, but I couldn't get it to work correctly. Tune the idle and it didn't work correctly when You tried to accelerate etc...
Get it to accelerate OK and it wouldn't idle etc....
I have to check all the fuel jets on it as I have read where they can have incorrectly fitted jets which causes major problems.
I hope You have a better experience than I had....
