Micheal you should look at subi conversion. Its cheaper in the long run and way cheaper to run with more power. Come and look at mine.
Pm me and I'll give you my phone number. Cheers Shane

What was wrong with the Penrose motor? Why traded in?

I may be interested. I have a 1915 in my super bug that runs great. It has dual webers, c35 cam, new 050 heads and pistons and barrels, has been harmonically balanced and built br vw and volvo in brisbane.

I would like to go type 4 so depending on what you've got to spend I would be interested.

I too am going the subi conversion, never thought I would but I got tired of sifting through all the aftermarket chinese crap I was forced to bolt on to my motor.. And the prices of replacement 'hi-performance' vw stuff is ridiculous. Even just recasing my old motor was going to be a 12-1500 exercise after maching etc. That's if nothing else was broken.

Yep, I know only too well.

Imagine whats its like trying to give people warranty, we virtually have to rework every part---

My son Michael posted this but alas he has been taken over to the dark side by Bone. But Tayloredvw PM me on how much you are looking for as I may be interested.
