Why bother with an original size engine when your car is hardly "factory" now?
Due to the relative unavailability of 1500 pistons and barrels new, nearly all rebuilds will use 1600 parts anyway.

May as well just find a cheap dual port 1600 as they will be easier to find I think.

I have a good single port 1600 engine or i also have a couple of 1600 twin ports that need a rebuild. PM if interested

I have a set of 83mm German Rings for a 1500 engine if you end up getting a 1500 instead of a 1600.
