zeppelin-vwwe - August 6th, 2017 at 02:42 PM

Hi all.

I am jst hunting around to see if anybody has a set of good wheels to suit 2001 TURBO beetle.
I believe the PCD is 5x100 on the factory wheels.
If any Golf gti factory wheels out there that anybody wants to sell, let me know.

Located in Sydney

Thanks, zac

Pretty sure Golf are 5x112

Maybe Polo GTI wheels? They are 5x100
But they are rare as - I am looking for some

I see. I always thought mkV were 100
I made the mistake of looking at golf wheels that were incorrect pcd, at least the seller was kind enough to let me try them on.

ok, so its polo wheels I need.

thanks, that helps

I had a MK3 golf convertable that was 5X100 PCD & also a VR6 Bora that was 5x100 some years ago. Mk4 changed to 5x112. 99% of rims are marked on the rear with a casting if alloy or a stamping if steel with the pcd & offset.

Have a look on the VWwatercooled forum. There are always people selling wheels on there

I actually have a set that I'd be willing to sell - unfortunately I'm in Brisbane. Removed these from my daughter's car before they got the inevitable gutter rash. These wheels are immaculate.
They are high quality Enkei's 17x7 with good rubber 225/45R17 - maintaining correct original diameter.
They are multi-fit and will fit 4x100, 4x114.3, 5x100, 5x112.
So will fit old and new watercooled VW's and Kombi.
PM me if interested.
Cheers.

It's not often I read a topic and go, I'm at the same intersection, with my $500 New Beetle that I snapped up - it runs, drives, everything works...Considering I paid north of $40K when they first came out. Anyway, I digress...

Golf changed to 5x112 with Mk5 intro of Golf/Jetta

Mk4 (Golf/Bora/New Beetle - pre-2011 and Mk1 Audi A3 and Mk1 Audi TT) are all 5x100

Still no luck in finding an interesting set...

yes, it is difficult when on a budget.

Just out of curiosity, I also wonder what I could sell the stock wheels and tyres for? not sure of the make code, but I will put up a pic soon
