Nissan V8-With Pics
shiftyvw - October 2nd, 2004 at 07:32 AM

I bought this to go into the dragster but didnt take quite enough measurements so it isnt going to fit as well as I'd like.
Its a Vh45-de 4.5l quad cam, 32 valve all alloy motor 208kw. Even has 90mm throttle body standard! Bigger and stronger than the toyota V8. I paid 2000 but im open to any reasonanble offer. Would make a wild conversion for a Kombi!

If I had more TEM id drop it into a triton ute or something stupid like a beach buggy. Slap on a couple of turbos and off you go!

Owen we eat this motor with our ( stock ) 4ltr quad cam toyota v8 in the race car .I dont know why but it 228kw has a set of headers and aftermarket ecu .

I seen them and like them
There is one in a nissan 4 x 4 and I know some one thats twin turbo one now .

Seagull. that car(Adrian's Nissan) only had 146hp at the wheels on the dyno.....:o I don't think it was the best example of this motor about.

its rated at the same power as the 1uz and by many accounts actually makes a bit more power, the 1uz is a bit smaller and lighter though. Its a bigger motor in every dimension. Its also meant to have better conrods and pistons but im not too sure about those claims. Id love to use this motor just for the appearance, it just looks fast!
What kind of racing are you talking about seagull?

i will give ya 750 if you ship it to brissy.

shiftyvw - December 5th, 2004 at 06:08 PM

Heres a couple of pics. It has all the extra bits like AC pump PS etc that you probably wouldnt use, Ive removed all that but its still here. The harness is intact on the engine but cut off where it would connect on to the body. Wouldnt be too hard to connect up to aftermarket ECU harness.

Ill take $750 but you will have to pay the postage. No idea what that will cost. guessing 150ish.
