primate - October 4th, 2004 at 09:49 PM

Hi have a set of used twin 40-Kadrons carburettors for sale.
They are in excellent condition (brand new throttle butterflies and re-bushed shafts) and come with linkage, air-cleaner assemblies (filter element required) and dual-port manifolds.

I'm certainly interested, however, I'm wondering if you can tell me the name of any places that I would be able to buy the filter elements from for these if I were to purchase them?

K&N do them, but you might have to look hard for them. Not sure who else

Interuptzero,
I don't think the top photo does these carbs any justice. They are in excellent condition. I think other than buying new (~$1200) you would be hard pressed finding a better set.
I will post a better shot of them.

Regards,
Ali :D

Thanks. I'll be chatting with my Dad and my Brother-in-law tomorrow morning and seeing what they think, so you may very well hear from me tomorrow some time.

In the meantime, it would be great if you have any more pictures to post of them. :)

Hey Bond. Thanks for your interest in the Kadrons.
I can't comment with authority on how well these would work on a stock 1300 tp motor, however they were designed to be put onto a 1600tp. They will work very well on anything up to a 1916.
So I am optimistic that they will work on your 1300, but it may be worthwhile asking your question on the tech pages within this forum.
You would certainly want some good extractors to make the most of them.

Cheers,
Ali ;)
