For those of you who would find it handy to keep a quality torch in your glove box. I have just imported a special police edition palm LED torch. They measure 120mm's in length and come with the following

12 LED light globes for maximum brightness
2 x CR 123A Lithium batteries with 20 hours continuous life
Webbing belt holder
Free delivery anywhere in Australia.

These are streets above your Mag lite and have a special option button on the top for easy on off appication or can be screwed down for hands free operation.

Selling price is $50

Closest equivilent in Australia is a snap on LED Torch which has a retail of $170.

You will not be disappointed.

ive got a similar one from jaycar for about $40 and it lights up the room and lasts about a month when using it every day

They are extremely bright and great to keep on your work tool belt especially for looking into very dark VW engine bays.
The original one I got sent to me in Feb of this year is still as bright as ever.

I priced the batteries today in Dick Smith and a pair of them is $14.

These things rock, I've used them in the past for boarding parties and night patrols. The only problem is they tend to chew throught the batteries. Great bit of kit though.

i just got mine and i'm very pleased with it. The casing is about five times thicker than mag light's and looks indestructable. Very, Very bright and good looking. Thanks! Oh and by the way Limbug I don't know if that's what I put in my U2U but my last name isn't Boozer. I wish it was though.
