I will have a good 1200 one soon out of my Orange smoothiee
you can test drive before hand if you want a 1200 box goes really nice

Or do u want a 1500 box ??

twoguns - October 26th, 2004 at 08:23 PM

its to repalce teh one i stole from teh d/cab. it was a 1500. but now its in my bus, and it doesnt seem any different in ratio to the 1200 i had... but no oises or poping gears.

costs anybody? and yes going to the shootout.

vw54 - October 26th, 2004 at 08:28 PM

how soon do u need it might be about 4 weeks or so.

Menangler - October 26th, 2004 at 08:41 PM

I can take a 40hp Beetle box to The swap if you want it, it has done 90,000 original miles, $250.00. complete with axles and brakes.

twoguns - October 26th, 2004 at 09:18 PM

is 40hp a 1500? how is the condition. anybody else with something to offer?

Chewy - October 26th, 2004 at 09:26 PM

40hp is a 1200 if Im not mistaken
I think they have a bit lower gearing than the 1500 box, not sure tho.

twoguns - October 26th, 2004 at 09:34 PM

well thats what i thought but i have jsut replaced what i think is a splitty 1200 box with a 1500 box, and i cant really see much difference. ( other than the fact it functions properly).

twoguns - October 26th, 2004 at 09:34 PM

had an offer of one for 100 but could be a bit far. is anyone from qld coming my way?

Hey I got my old swingaxle box here i want to ged rid off. I beleive you've seen it when you saw me TRY and get into stockton dunes!
Anyway, works perfectly, and the axles, drums, new cylinders etc are still attached, i split one of the boots though. Its an early model gearbox without the nosecone for the release bearing, but its 12v.

You can have it for $70. Are you going to stockton on the 6th?

twoguns - October 27th, 2004 at 06:15 PM

ratbug - October 27th, 2004 at 06:44 PM

I have no idea sorry. It came out of a 67 chassis if it is original. I forgot to say before, i have pics at http://users.hunterlink.net.au/~ddat/4sale/. I jsut had a look at the number on the side, starts with 118 901... if that helps.
