nar lastr night dave had some for us to look at and i found that they are listed but no pic of the white ones

Robo - November 4th, 2004 at 07:21 PM

I think you will find it hard to get new one's now. Volkswagen has started al this logo copyright protection stuff and is suing the pants of manufacturers that are not licenced to use their logo. The ones Bruce has are the real deal, I bought two pairs myself! they have the VW logo stamped into the steel bracket.
They were made for VW by a company called WEGU, if you come accross these, their the original!
This following we address give's some more info, mostly about Kombi flaps.

george at classic veedub in sydney has the empi ones mate

Robo - November 13th, 2004 at 06:16 AM

bump

57kombi - November 13th, 2004 at 12:28 PM

Who cares if they are original or not, they only stop shit hitting the car.
Whats the use of having an original pair and not using them????

Put em on a car. I cant get used to this "iVE GOT ORIGINAL ONES," mentality. Does that make you better than everyone else? they are mud flaps for gods sake

Cheers
Dave

is there much of an update on these Resto 64? u2u if so....

thanks nick

byronbus - November 13th, 2004 at 06:08 PM

Dave, they are forsale, just stating what they are, different to the repro ones and probably cheaper, is it your aim in life to piss people off and be so negative all the time???

Also tired of vw shops in sydney selling repro stuff for the same price or more than you can still buy the genuine stuff for...

And they are not on the car because i have some on the car, these are spare, hence selling them, if they were on the car they wouldnt be forsale...

bond - November 13th, 2004 at 07:23 PM

can that original pair of yours byronbus somehow be used as a template to make our own repro ones?!?!?!

nick

byronbus - November 13th, 2004 at 10:06 PM

You can buy the repro ones...Try Classic in Sydney...

Resto64 - November 13th, 2004 at 11:18 PM

got some guys
thanks for your help
:)

byronbus - November 15th, 2004 at 10:17 AM

Bought some repro ones at the gold coast show, just like the ones at VVDS for $30

57kombi - November 15th, 2004 at 11:41 AM

Thats great,
I would rather spend $30 for a set that will do the job, than go into a bidding war for originals.

Cheers
Dave
