Can anyone give me an idea of what one should expect to pay for the following (all from 1970 1500 beetle) :

* jack
* complete engine (good to excellent condition)
* starter motor (if separate from engine)

Any ideas would be great - I have someboyd interested but not sure how much to ask (honesty would be appreciated).

Also, if I separated the starter motor, would that inhibit future sale of the engine - in your opinion??

I would say, jack $10 to $20. Engine $500 to $800 and started around $70

The starter motor actually bolts to the gearbox...
so don't worry about it.... leave it..
I've NEVER seen an engine sold with a starter motor....

Best place to buy a VW starter motor & Jack would be from a NON VW Wrecking yard.... they would be glad to get rid of them... so long as they have a wrecked beetle...

All Parts sold at VW Wreckers are at a premium price.....
