Does anyone know this book and can vouch for how good it is?

Sounds and looks good, and the US lists rave about it. 1300 pages is a lot of vw to read in bed!

I've got the 58-60 version, and it's certainly got everything in there and a lot of good period photos. Not sure about thr extensive use of asbestos while welding though.
