I've had interest in this but only from people interstate. I would prefer to sell it locally if I could as that way people can try before they buy and save hassles of returned items etc.

I have registered the interest of those of you interstate, and will let you know what happens.

So I guess this is a BUMP!

Mike

is bellbowrie close enough to be local?
and does the little trolley come with it?:)
no harm in asking is there :D

Gibbo - November 24th, 2004 at 11:55 AM

how about a swap for 4 mag wheels + tyres + some cash?
Not totally a matching set, but all come with good 195/60 rubber. they are 14".
I can pickup.

Pics of the wheels can be seen here:

Hi,

To answer a few questions I have received via U2U.

This welder was originally purchased to do a signifigant amount of rust repair on a Mini Moke. We still have the Moke and can show what was repaired as a reference.

This welder is suitable for panel repairs and low volume work. It's duty cycle is not high enough to weld up the titanic. If you plan to do major chassis repairs or weld a buggy together this is not the welder for you.

The reason we are selling the welder is we have bought a bigger welder to do bigger jobs. We are now using a welder nearly every day so this smaller one no longer meets our requirements.

You can have the trolley with the welder for an extra $25. The Trolley will allow you to move the welder around easily, it has wheels, and will take a standard rental bottle.

Sorry, I have too many wheels already.

Mike

can I try and drop by on sunday to take a look? I am out at Bellbowrie, but should be able to get over your side of town then. that way I can check out what you have used it for. I am after one for panel repair as well as other small welding tasks(but have no plans to create a navy/tank/armoured car).
I'll U2U you my contact details,
Cheers

bigbaja - November 30th, 2004 at 03:26 PM

half price is got his best price dont you think
or unless he gave it to you
maybe he could even come over and do the welding for you

Gibbo - November 30th, 2004 at 03:33 PM

I didnt think I was being unreasonable, Im just asking for his best price. I thats the one he has posted then so be it.

And I dont really think there is a need for sarcastic comments that dont really add anything positive to a thread. And if you are going to be a smart arse, check what you write first before posting it. :P

MikeM - November 30th, 2004 at 03:48 PM

now now boys, lets not get carried away....

my current price is $375 with the standard equipment that comes with the welder (disposable gas bottle and regulator), and in addition to that:

the stand, full size (rental) bottle guages, hand held mask, spare tips both .6 and .8 mm, spare shroud, improved earthing clamp and 3 rolls wire.

Bugger

didn't see you number on the first post (yes I am blind okay) so was waiting for you to call and let me know where you lived. will call tonight when (IF!!) I get home from work.

Cheers

penguin - December 5th, 2004 at 03:39 PM

Mike

called over the weekend (thats my scratchy voice on your mobile message bank). Will be on a weapons effects course (so mobiles off) for Mon to Wed, so won't most likely won't be at home till after 8 at night, or online till Thurs. Will most likely crash Mon-Wed night after work due to getting up at 5 and getting home late.
Am still interested and planning on heading out nth side Fri afternoon to check out some type 3 panels that george has.
Let me know where to go???? Everton Park is a reasonable sized suburb.
Cheers
Chris (Penguin)
