They are $259 each. Rang them only a few days ago. And that's EACH, not per pair!!

VWFREAK - November 25th, 2004 at 09:23 AM

Well worth the money. Very cool.

Mikey-56EJ20T - November 26th, 2004 at 06:11 PM

I've recently heard that they are REALLY bad quality and soooo thin that uou can see through them!!!!!!! Can anyone confirm this or deny it a I was contemplating buying a set. Also the person that told me they are shit also said that thay are nowhere near the 2 inches wider that thay are supposed to be. Any feedback would be great.

Cheers

Have a look at my pics in the conversion section...poor as they are...I have 7inch 205/ 55 16 wide front and 8 inch wide at rear 225/50 16 and they are not close to the edge.

Quality seems o.k for fibre glass. I do not know how old mine are as were on the car when I got it!

Aero guards are awsome, my father spent MANY MANY hours making the aeros and i havent see any guards like them. When my father used to make them and when he showed me how he applying more layers on the outer edges and when he made them he made them with a curved lip around the arch to make them much stronger, Fibre glass is translucent with out paint on it and they guards can be made in and thickness you want. I think the quality of mine are great and they are very old now and still lookin awsome. The aero guards do alot for the looks but they are not all for show, They were designed to try and keep the air out of under the front of the wheels to stop the cars getting light at high speeds and i can say that down Eastern Creek straight at 205ks the car felt very good and was not light in the front at all. steves style ones are made for the strut model, and my style are made for the beams models.
Awsome guards man ull never look back!

Alex

Hi

500,000 ks, I did a lot of Ks when my parents moved back to Brisbane, I would service the bug after work Friday, pickup the missus, arrive at mum & dads for breakfast then drive home Sunday night and go straight to work on monday morning. A spare 20litre tank mounted on top of the stock tank cut down on fuel stops.
