anyone.
what motor was it off?
is there a manifold for the carb?
[Edited on 6-12-2004 by james(DNVK)]
any car,,and no manifold, you need a scat or other brand manifold to suit progresive carb, lots of bugs running around with this type of carb.
new price ...$400.
What model is the carb?
how does this set up?. is there a lot to do?. i have a motor with a scat manifold and progressive carb. could be interesting.
its a 32/34 dmtt webber..
wes all you need to do is make up exharst manifold to turbo then a dump pipe of the turbo, you will need a holley blue fuel pump and a return line to
the tank from the regulator.this is a cheap carb and if you have the manifold that bit you wont need...
cheers
this is new to me... it seems to sound simple, but im sure its more complicated. evertyhing works i take it? i set it up and then is there a shit
load of adjsuting and stuff to do or is it a fine tune kinda thing? sorry. wanting to know if i can do it first.
have been looking at turbos.... not as complicated as this is it?
i have this scat dual throat manifold. this is what youre saying is required? so the carbi you have would mount to htis and what, the turbo to onne side?
That pic you've posted is pretty much exactly what I imagined these parts would need exhaust-wise and what the setup would look like on. Am I wrong?
thats the type manifold you need, the pic on top thats draw throught setup this is a blow threw setup, there will be fine tuning and stuff, but is a
simple turbo setup once you mount the turbo to a made up pipe work, you could give the car to a exhurst shop to make up the pipes needed, also you need
a oil line to the turbo from the oil light use a adaptor from the block and then a oil return from the turbo to the motor,go to the fuel pump run a
block off with a fitting to run the oil back,
so there is a few things to do,but the end result is a good one
what about motor mods? does anything need strengthening?
on a stock motor, typically all that is required is low compression ie: 8:1.... depending on boost... ????
nick
sorry... got a lot to ask. dont know mucha bout turbos. so u hav u2u

dave, is it sweet for a stock type1 1600tp motor in good nick?
with standard boost, dont get greedy with adj boost, and keep it simple, turbo is a cheap performance ad on,but if you give it to much boost or run lean
on boost it will deternate or ping, which is bad news, have some pistons laying around with holes in them,,,,
cheers
Be wary venturing down the route of forced induction! You are likely never to return to a normally aspirated life!
This represents exceptional value! I have the rest of the Shimo kit that uses this carb and setup if anyone wants to copy the exhaust layout.

matara have sent u u2u.
