desperately seeking ...

howdy do de everyone, I'm in desprite need of a golde ragtop for a 58 beetle. The car is ready to be painted however all I'm waiting on is the ragtop. Here's the problem though, I have bugger all cash. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if anyone has one going cheap, or know of anyone who has one going cheap, I'd really really really appreciate a 2u2. The condition of the rag doesn't matter as I'm going to replace it anyway.

does it have the roof metal section as well or is it just the folding mechanism n cover ???

rotn59 - December 4th, 2004 at 12:30 PM

it has the tracks which you attatch to the hole
sliddy bits ,n a handle to lock it down at the front
its not connected to an existing roof if thats what you mean

and sorry it isnt for sale

that sounds like a Britag (or whater it is spelled)

A golgie has a webbed/ribbed section that iis cut/welded into the roof. Usually sold as a roof clip / section for that reason
