finger plates for 67-71 t1
ruckus - December 7th, 2004 at 04:27 PM

I bought these without realising that they were too long for my handles.
German chromed brass.
fits '8/67 - 1/71'

Only been out of the plastic to see that they don't fit my car.

Want at least $45 for them.

I'm in Melbourne. u2u or email is best.

ruckus, what year is your bug?

ruckus - December 7th, 2004 at 09:21 PM

it's a '71 but these are too long on the nose side of the handles. I think 'cause mine is an August 71?

the ones Ive got are 60's beetles sorry mate

The German 1967 Beetle had round outer door handle push buttons - Only used on beetles for one year.. similar to early type 3s.. never used in Australia..

August 71> was the 1972 Volkswagenwerk year model ..

I thought all VW Beetle door handles were the same from 8/67 [ 68 Model year] to 1976...

What was different [apart from different finger grooves]??

I'm not sure what year model door handles I have on My Beetle as I had about 6 or more to choose from...

These would fit my doors fine if they weren't too long in the front pointy part by about 5mm or so. Otherwise I wouldn't be getting rid of them. Did consider filing them down but thought I'd sell or swap them and then get some that actually fit.
