Ok so I bought a 72 bay with a blown head..... I knew that there was a problem, being my ever optimistic self I was hoping that it was something
simple like the tappets needing adjusting... yeah right, ! I am completly restoring it so I guess this is one of my lesser problems and I got it
cheap, Anyway.....
It turns out after attempting to adjust the valve clearances I discovered that one of the valves has blown through its seat.
If anyone has a spare 1600 cylinder head, I would really appreciate if you could let me know, I guess I will be getting both heads skimmed... be
stupid not to, I think, any advice greatfully received.
Hoping to hear from you.

you would be better off with a set - or have the other one off first so as you can see if the new one matches.
Need to check the cc's of the chamber of your good one to see if the new one is the same or can be cut to the same
Someone must have a 1600 head I can buy off them....
What blue said , what heads single or twin port. If twins I have a good used set ,valves ok, seats ok, $50 pair plus postage. Mitchll
