They are bloody thick fibreglass, I was going to use them so I could run big rear tyres. Wish they were steel.
I'd probably do a swap if your rear guards didnt need any work to them.
flared guards look good with wheels like these.

I've got a full set off an l'bug/s/bug including whale tail. Probaly the best style i've seen, they have some minor cracks that need some glass.

Hi Clarky finaly got that gearbox in the bug just up to putting the motor back together should start her up tomorrow or over the weekend.

my computer is that slow, I tried to post pic to you but at the rate its going it would have taken a whole day. They are not areo type, they are the other type of flare. $250 for the 4 guards and whale tail with head lights and l'bug tail lights. I also have set of black ribbed alloy running boards , look sweet. $200.
those mags go on the white beetle with the fibro guards they have new tyres to go on the mags as well the rear are 15/8 and front are 14/7 they are white with green pearl. it's my project not sure what i am doing at the moment with the whole lot it's been going for 4 years.
