Wanted , Steering box for 61 bug

The amount of play i have is almost side to side on the steering whel before the wheels move. Take it the steering box is shagged!

So i need a new /rebuilt one. Can anyone help or advise me please.

Dan.. Have you looked for the screw adjustment in the box?.. You should tighten this up first. check the ends as well for loose linkages.. There is no way a box could get that bad.. You have probably done all this.. just my 2c

Try and get a German one I had a new one fitted and it only lasted 18 months it didn't getextra play just got stiffer & stiffer. I know have a good second hand German one and its like having power steering even with a 350mm steering wheel.

Glider i have u2u'd you re door trim, thanks . If it's any good i'm interested. I want this 61 on the road soon and as i keep on saying , i'm on a budget as i'm still doing the Notch. Bloody vw's!!! Let me mate.
