SOLD!! Hotwire mags: 6 and 7 inch wide BRAND NEW TYRES
*did* - January 27th, 2005 at 05:03 PM

Hi folks,

As always I am selling my hotwire mags.
The brand is performance australia, not cheviot.
They are 4 stud to suit later beetles, superbugs and probably type 3's.

Two 14x6 inch mags with 195/65R14 Tyres
Two 14x7 inch mags with 215/65R14 Tyres

No kerb rash, no scratches (except for one on the inner side of one rim where the tyre guys scratched it!), almost perfect!

The tyres are BRAND NEW Goodyear Regatta's that cost almost $400 in total. The 215's still have the 'hairs' on them and have not been driven. The 195's dont have the hairs on them anymore but are still 99%.

They also come with a full set of 16 near new chrome wheel bolts and washers. (retail: $8 per bolt!!)

If you are after a set of hotwires ready to bolt on with good tyres then these are for you.

$500 negotiable/swap for stuff maybe

Cheers, Steve

Because the stock wheels on a bettle are much thinner do you have to do anything when putting these on to make them fit? or do they just slide further in?

7 inch rears: if you have a early rear axles (shorter) on your bug then they will apparently fit without wide rear guards, other than that you need wider guards.
6 inch fronts: stick out a little bit past the guards, about 1-2cm

i think the 6 inch ones dont stick out if you put them on the back
but then you have to chase down another pair of 6's for the front :(
