well i think my saga with my non - starting kombi is finally over and as a result i now have one of the most extensively rebuilt starter motors around for sale.

the starter is a 2l automatic model for a 70's kombi, i paid $120 for it as a rebuild after trading in my old one for it, then had about $200 spent on parts alone (that's at cost price :o ) replacing every non - replaced part in it including the shaft, solenoid kit etc until it was basically a new starter with a bad paint job, only to find that it was not right for the application.

as a result it is now surplus to my needs, auto starters are getting hard to find now - days, as this one is of no use to me and it has not been used since the full rebuild, i would like to get as close to cost as possible for it, so if anyone wants to make me an offer close to $300 this is as close to a new starter as you will ever get.

c'mon, this is easily worth $250, it hasnt been used, if it wasnt for the paintjob it would be a new starter motor!
