Dash pot

Hey,
Does anyone have a dash pot for a 76 2L type 4 kombi. Its got stock duel carbs. If you have one or know where i can get one any help would be awsome!

I always either disconnected them or took them off all together on all the jap cars I have owned....

Its a thing at returns your throttle to idle slowly. Like a shock absorber for the throttle... Anyone got one???? If every1 is throwing them away then throw em this way!!!

they sometimes come up on the samba site, but if it is second hand its probably gonna fail soon anyway. so it may be worth while to have a look at some other make cars at the wreckers that may become a suitable donor.

Can you use one from another make of car? Maybe off a Mercedes?

Havent looked into it too much yet, just thought mite b able to grab one off here but looks like every throws em in the bin.

i guess if i cant find one i will have to fabricate something with one from a different car...

returns carbs to idle slower, herd it reduces emmissions but im after it to stop my car stalling.

Wouldn't it be easier to adjust the carbs properly to stop the stalling? You may have to find someone that knows what they're doing.

it's doesn't look like a vacuum operated one like on the fuel injected motors. it difficult to imagine how that one could be the cause of stalling.

car isnt stalling anymore, but will save my synchro's... maybe i will just give up?
