Have just bought my first type 3 - its a squareback.... it has some nasty aftermarket seats in the front - I want to replace with original.

I think I am going to have to put some origianl rails back in to fit them though:o:o

Anyone got any seats? are they the same as a beetle??

Not the same as a Beetle and you will need a the lower steel section of some old seats as the rails are off set, it would be easier to fit the new seats to the old lower section.

i got a pair of 68 notchback front seats. but live south of sydney you can have for $100 brown an tan. ph 0412287668+ gearbox an motor still in car an running sell both $400

Got a couple of t3 trim lots
one a vg black from a 66 wagon
other a good set from a 67 fasty ...should fit

Hey Dozza the seat runners are mounted to your tunnel and side sill. They arent always cut out when vandels fit other types of seats and if so seats will slip right in. Not like bug runners mounted on the floor.
